PPF shop software that quotes from the roll
PPF shop software that quotes by panel or package, costed from the real film on your rack, with the margin live before you send.
No credit card required, free for 14 days, no per-seat charge

Every quote costed from the roll on your rack
Quote by panel or by package, hood and fenders one week and a full front the next, and every film line is priced from the actual roll it will be cut from. The margin shows live as you build the quote, so you know the job pays before the customer ever sees it.
Behind the quote, the rest of the shop runs on the same record. Track every roll to the foot, keep two installs off the same lift, register the warranty, and put an AI team on the calls and quotes you don’t have time to chase.

The short answer
What is the best software for a PPF shop?
PPF shop software costs a job from the actual roll on your rack rather than a price list. Service VIN does that, plus bay scheduling, VIN warranties and an AI front desk. It is not the right tool for a one-van operator who only needs invoices, or a general repair shop that needs parts ordering and labour guides.
- Quote by panel or by coverage package — hood, fenders, mirrors, rockers, full front, full body — with the profit margin updating live as you build it.
- Every roll carries its length, real cost, lot number and rack location, and draws down foot by foot, so material COGS on a job is a fact rather than an estimate.
- Bays and installers sit on one calendar with double-booking refused in the database, not merely hidden in the interface.
- The vehicle is a first-class record: scan the VIN, register the film warranty against it, and file the contract and the photos on the job.
- Flat pricing per shop — Essentials $79, Growth $199, Operations $299 and Command $399 in US dollars, no per-seat charge — with a 14-day free trial with every feature unlocked.
Bottom line: If you install film, the software should know what a foot of it costs you. That is the whole argument for a PPF-specific tool over a generic field-service one.
If you run a general repair, tire or lube shop, the part of this that fits you is the front desk and the marketing layer beside the system you already have: see what Service VIN does for a repair shop.

The quote is the sale
Quote a full front — or a full body — the way you sell it
PPF sells by the panel: hood, fenders, mirrors, rockers, or the whole car in a coverage package. Service VIN builds the quote that way and turns it into a live-margin quote costed from the actual roll on your rack — so you know the profit on the job before the customer ever says yes.
- Price by panel or package
- Build the quote the way a customer buys it — hood, fenders, mirrors and rockers à la carte, or a full-front and full-body coverage package as one line. Options and add-ons live on the same quote.
- Margin costed from the real roll
- Each film line is priced from the actual cost per foot of the roll on your rack, not a list price. The profit margin updates live as you add panels, so you know the job makes money before you send it.
- Approve online, take a deposit
- Send a clean quote the customer approves from their phone, with a deposit collected on the spot. An approved quote drops straight onto the calendar as a booked install.

Film is your biggest cost
Know your film to the foot, and never double-book a bay
A roll of PPF is a four-figure asset that leaves the shop eighteen inches at a time. Service VIN tracks every roll to the foot at the price you actually paid, warns you before you run dry, and keeps two installs from ever landing on the same lift.
- Every roll tracked to the foot
- Each physical roll carries its length, real cost, lot number and rack location, and draws down foot by foot as you log installs against it — so on-hand value and per-job material COGS are facts, not estimates.
- Reorder before you run dry
- Set a reorder point in feet per product. The list fires while there is still time to ship film — not the morning of a full-body install when the core turns out to be empty.
- A calendar the bays can't double-book
- Drag installs across bays and installers on one calendar, with bay protection enforced in the database. A long full-body wrap and a quick windshield film can never be booked onto the same lift.

Nothing falls through
Fill the bays, register the warranty, win back the lead
Take bookings and deposits around the clock, store every warranty against the customer's VIN, and let an AI calling copilot — plus a crew of follow-up agents — handle the calls and quotes you don't have time to chase.
- 24/7 booking with deposits
- A branded storefront takes bookings and deposits around the clock, so the after-hours shopper who found you at 11pm books a slot instead of texting the shop across town.
- VIN garage and warranty portal
- Scan the VIN to build the vehicle's garage, then store the PPF warranty, contract and before/after photos against it — served back to the customer through secure, expiring links.
- An AI team on calls and follow-ups
- The AI calling copilot records, transcribes and summarizes every call and drafts the estimate or booking for one-tap send. Follow-up agents chase open quotes and win back cold leads — draft-first, with quiet hours in code.

Put one real install through it
Start free, add one roll at the price you paid for it, and quote one full front the way you sell it. Nothing goes out to a customer until you send it.

Built on a film shop's logic, not a generic CRM
Plenty of tools can hold a customer list. These are the four things I needed running my own paint protection film shop that none of them could do — so I built them.
Live margin on every quote
The quote is costed from the real film on your rack, not a price list. The margin is a fact before you hit send — the one number a growing PPF shop can't afford to guess.
An AI team, not one AI button
A calling copilot plus lead-response, quote-follow-up, missed-call and review agents — draft-first, with opt-outs and quiet hours enforced in code. The follow-up that used to wait for a spare minute now happens on time.
Built for film, not bolted on
Panels and coverage, rolls tracked to the foot, remnants, VIN warranties — the vocabulary of a PPF shop is native here, not forced into a generic field-service template.
Flat pricing, no per-seat charge
Add installers, front-desk staff and detailers without watching the bill climb. One flat plan for the whole shop — see the tiers on the pricing page.
If those four are your shop
Start free, cost one real job from the roll it comes off, and watch the margin before you send it. If it does not change how you price, you have lost an afternoon.
No credit card required, free for 14 days, cancel anytime
Where to start
It starts with the call you missed.
Every missed call answered in seconds. The quote you promised, drafted before you hang up. Booked straight into your calendar.
It answers from your real services, your real prices and your real calendar — and writes the booking into them. No migration, no data to move — it runs beside whatever you use today.
A customer reading a text in her parked car, a shop owner at her laptop and at the shop's glass door, and the call, text-thread, quote, calendar and review panels drawn over the pictures.
PPF software, answered
What is the best PPF software for a paint protection film shop?
The one that costs a job from the film you actually bought. PPF is purchased by the roll and consumed by the linear foot, so software that counts inventory by the each can tell you what a job sold for but never what it cost. Service VIN prices every film line from the real per-foot cost of the roll on your rack and shows the margin live as you build the quote. Tint Wiz, Urable and OrbisX are all credible tools that many shops run happily — the tables above say where each one is stronger.
What does PPF scheduling software need to do that a normal calendar cannot?
It has to know that a bay is a physical thing. A full-body wrap and a quick windshield film cannot share a lift, and a calendar that only models a time slot will happily let a service advisor book both. Service VIN puts bays and installers on one drag-and-drop calendar and refuses an overlapping hold in the database rather than hiding the option in the interface, so the conflict cannot be created by a tired click at 5pm.
Is there a CRM for PPF installers, or do I need a separate CRM?
A CRM for PPF installers is not a contact list with a car field bolted on. It has to hold the vehicle as a record — VIN, the panels that were wrapped, the film that was used, the warranty that was registered — because that is what the next conversation is about. Service VIN keeps the customer, the vehicle, every past job, the film warranty and the whole text and call thread on one record, so nothing is a separate subscription and nothing has to be re-keyed.
What should PPF invoicing software do about material cost?
It should put the real material cost on the invoice's own line, not on a spreadsheet afterwards. Because each film line is drawn from a specific roll at the price you paid for it, the invoice carries true material COGS, the deposit taken at approval is already credited, and the card surcharge — if your shop charges one — lands on the bill rather than vanishing. Payment happens on a link the customer opens on their phone.
Is there a cheap CRM for PPF installers?
Cheap is usually a per-seat question rather than a sticker question. Service VIN is Essentials $79, Growth $199, Operations $299 and Command $399 in US dollars flat for the whole shop with no per-seat charge, which is what keeps the bill still when you hire a second installer. If you want the smallest possible commitment, the Operations plan is $299 a month and needs no migration. If even that is more than you want to spend, a single-vehicle invoice app will genuinely be cheaper — it just will not tell you what a job cost.
Can I get a PPF quote builder that prices by panel and by package?
Yes, and it should do both on the same quote. Customers buy hood-and-fenders one week and a full front the next, so the builder holds à la carte panels, coverage packages, add-ons like a windshield film or a ceramic topper, per-line discounts and an order discount — and it prices all of it from the roll. The customer approves it from their phone and can leave a deposit at the same time, which drops the job onto the calendar.
Is there an AI booking agent for a PPF shop?
Yes — the AI Front Desk answers the calls nobody reached, texts back the ones that ring out, and books from your real calendar. The part that matters is grounding: it answers from your actual services and prices and writes the booking into the system of record, instead of promising that someone will call back. It obeys quiet hours and opt-outs in code, and every text it sends is a text you can read on the thread afterwards.
How does a PPF lead management system stop quotes going cold?
By making the follow-up something the software owes you rather than something you owe it. A new lead gets an answer while they are still comparing shops; an open quote is chased on a schedule you set; a missed call is texted back from your own number in seconds. Every one of those is draft-first where a person should read it, and each one lands on the same customer thread, so the next person to pick it up can see what was already said.
Can I import my data from Tint Wiz, Urable or OrbisX?
Yes. There are native import presets for Urable, Tint Wiz and OrbisX, plus QuickBooks Online, Zoho Books and any CSV, covering customers, vehicles, invoice history, job history and open leads. Imported records are held apart from your live messaging rails, so bringing a back catalogue across can never text a customer who has not heard from you in two years. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial with every feature unlocked.
How much does PPF software cost?
Service VIN is flat monthly pricing with no per-seat charge — Essentials $79, Growth $199, Operations $299 and Command $399 in US dollars, with two months free on annual billing and unlimited team logins from Growth up. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial with every feature unlocked, so you can quote three real jobs before you decide. For what the alternatives publish, the tables above carry each figure with its source and its date.
Do I need PPF-specific software, or will a general field-service tool do?
A general field-service tool will book a job and send an invoice, and plenty of shops start there. What it cannot do is tell you what the job cost: it models a customer and an address, counts inventory by the each rather than by the linear foot, and has nowhere to put a coverage zone, an install position or a manufacturer film warranty. The moment you want to know which packages on which vehicles actually pay, you need a tool that costs the film the way you buy it.
Who should not buy Service VIN?
A one-van operator whose whole need is sending an invoice will get there faster and cheaper with an invoicing app. A general repair shop that lives on parts ordering, labour guides and diagnostic integrations should look at a shop-management system built for that work — we do not do parts catalogues or labour times. And a shop with a crew that will not use anything but paper should fix that first; software cannot.
Does it handle GST/HST and CASL?
Tax: your shop sets one rate and every line on an invoice is taxable or exempt against it, so GST at 5 percent or HST at 13 or 15 is a setting rather than a workaround, and the sales-tax report gives your bookkeeper the taxable base, the exempt base and the tax actually charged on an accrual or a cash basis. What it does not do is split one invoice across two provincial rates, because there is a single shop-wide rate and no per-line rate in the data; if you bill at two rates, check that first. CASL is not a switch somebody flips but a set of rails: service and appointment messages are treated separately from marketing, marketing is counted against a per-customer limit, quiet hours and opt-outs are enforced in code, and an opt-out applies across the whole shop. The SMS policy page sets out the rules the product follows, and nothing here is legal advice.

Google Ads, graded by your invoices
Know what your PPF ads actually made you.
Google counts clicks and form fills. Your bank account counts booked full fronts. Service VIN connects your ad spend to your invoices — every campaign graded in booked jobs and paid revenue, with each paid invoice sent back to Google as that click's real value. And the account audit needs no add-on: connect read-only, get about two years of history imported, and see what's leaking before you change a thing.

For Canadian shops
Plans are billed in US dollars, and the rest of the block is the part a Canadian PPF shop actually asks about. Tax is one rate for the whole shop, set once, so a 5 percent GST shop and a 13 percent HST shop each bill their own number and each line is taxable or exempt on its own. The sales-tax report then gives a bookkeeper the taxable base, the exempt base and the tax actually charged, on an accrual or a cash basis, and the same figures reach QuickBooks Online and Xero.
One rate is one rate. If you bill at two different provincial rates from the same shop, there is no per-province or per-line split here and that is a real reason to check before you move.
On the texting side, Canadian carriers require no 10DLC registration, so a Canadian shop sends from its own number as soon as the line is live rather than waiting on a US carrier review. Service and appointment messages are counted separately from marketing, marketing is held to a per-customer limit, quiet hours are enforced in code rather than in a setting somebody can forget, and an opt-out applies across the whole shop rather than to one thread.
The longer version, including what the invoice looks like and what the rails do about consent, is on shop software for Canadian shops, and the rules themselves are on the SMS opt-in policy page.
