For car audio and restyling shops
Car audio shop software for installs and restyling
Car audio shop software that quotes the whole build with its add-ons attached, holds the install across bays and days, and takes the payment.
14-day free trial, every feature unlocked, no credit card required
SV Owner on a phone: the shop's alerts showing a missed call from Priya Sandhu sixteen minutes ago with the note that she was texted back automatically, the inbox reading one thread waiting on you with her conversation marked Needs reply, the call log carrying that call with her voicemail on it, the transcript of what she said (a price on the five-year ceramic for a Macan, and whether she can drop it on a Saturday), and the text that went back a minute after the call, which nobody typed.
The whole operation for an audio and restyling shop: quotes with add-ons, the install calendar, e-sign, invoices and payments.

The short answer
What is the best software for a car audio shop?
Car audio shop software quotes a system the way it is actually sold, with the amplifier, the wiring, the fabrication and the labour attached to it, and then holds the install. Service VIN does that, with e-sign, invoicing, payments and an AI front desk. Its parts inventory is partial, and this page says where.
Quote a build with tiers and add-ons on the same estimate, with per line discounts and an order discount, and the margin on the job in front of you as you write it.
A multi-day install is held across bays and days on one calendar, with an overlapping hold refused in the database rather than hidden in the interface.
The work authorisation is signed on the customer's own phone before the dash comes apart, and the signed document is filed against the job.
Photographs of the vehicle before the trim came out sit on the car's record and on the customer's own job tracker.
Flat pricing per shop, Essentials $79, Growth $199, Operations $299 and Command $399 in US dollars with no per-seat charge, and a 14-day free trial with every feature unlocked.
Bottom line: Restyling is an add-on business: the second speaker set, the camera, the remote start. The quote is where that money is either offered or forgotten.
If you run a general repair, tire or lube shop, the part of this that fits you is the front desk and the marketing layer beside the system you already have: see what Service VIN does for a repair shop.
The estimate is the upsell
Quote the build the way you sell it
Restyling money is add-on money: the camera, the second speaker set, the remote start. The builder puts tiers, a la carte lines and add-ons on one live-margin estimate the customer approves from their phone, with a deposit if you ask for one.
- The system, with its add-ons
- A head unit brings a harness, a dash kit, sometimes a camera and always labour. Tiers, a la carte lines and add-ons live on one estimate, so the upsell is on the screen instead of in somebody's memory.
- Margin while you write it
- Each line carries what it costs the shop, so the profit on the build moves as you add to it. A trade price on an amplifier stops being something you work out after the customer has already said yes.
- Approved and deposited from a phone
- The customer opens the estimate on their phone, approves it in a tap and can leave a deposit with it, which drops the install onto the calendar with the parts list already attached.

Then the install
Hold the bay, sign the work, keep the record
An install that takes two days and a trim panel that has to come out are both things a plain calendar is happy to get wrong. Bays and installers sit on one scheduling board that refuses the overlap, with the authorisation signed before anything is opened up.
- A two-day install, held
- Work sits across bays and days on one calendar, and an overlapping hold is refused in the database, so a fabrication job and a quick remote start can never be booked onto the same installer.
- Signed before the dash comes apart
- The work authorisation goes out as a secure link the customer signs on their own phone, and the signed document files against the job with its date, on the same rail the rest of the paperwork rides.
- An AI front desk on the calls
- Every missed call is texted back from your own number in seconds, and the calls you do take are recorded, transcribed and summarised on the customer's thread with the follow-up already drafted.

What it does not do
Parts inventory is partial; film and material are tracked to the foot. A head unit or an amplifier can be a priced line on the estimate and on the invoice, but there is no on-hand count of boxes on a shelf and no supplier ordering. If you run a real warehouse behind the counter, that gap is a reason to keep the stock system you have.
What car audio shop software costs here
Four flat plans for the whole shop, Essentials $79, Growth $199, Operations $299, Command $399 in US dollars, with no per-seat charge, so a second installer and a counter hire never move the bill. Two months free on annual billing, and every plan starts with a 14-day free trial with every feature unlocked.
Your arithmetic
About 4 jobs a month — $6,500 of work.
If one of those becomes a job this month, the front desk paid for itself 5.0× over.
Your numbers, not ours. We don't publish other shops' recovery rates. The Operations plan is $299 a month, so the multiple above is one job of the size you typed against one month of the offer.
Not ready to move the whole shop? Start with the call you missed. It is included on the Operations plan at $299 a month: every missed call answered in seconds, the quote drafted before you hang up, booked straight into your calendar, with no migration to start.
Where to start
It starts with the call you missed.
Every missed call answered in seconds. The quote you promised, drafted before you hang up. Booked straight into your calendar.
It answers from your real services, your real prices and your real calendar — and writes the booking into them. No migration, no data to move — it runs beside whatever you use today.
A customer reading a text in her parked car, a shop owner at her laptop and at the shop's glass door, and the call, text-thread, quote, calendar and review panels drawn over the pictures.
Car audio shop software, answered
What should car audio software do that a generic booking app cannot?
Sell the add-ons. An audio ticket is rarely one item: a head unit brings a harness, a dash kit, a camera, sometimes fabrication and always labour. The quote builder holds tiers, a la carte lines and add-ons on one estimate, so the second speaker set is offered on the screen rather than remembered in the bay, and the customer approves the whole thing from their phone.
Can it schedule a two-day install?
Yes. Work is held across bays and days on one calendar, and an overlapping hold is refused in the database rather than hidden in the interface, so a long fabrication job and a quick remote start cannot be dropped onto the same installer. A booking taken on your storefront arrives as a customer, a vehicle and a job already on the board.
Can I get the work authorised before the dash comes apart?
Yes. The work authorisation is sent as a secure link the customer opens on their own phone and signs, and the signed document files against the job with the date on it. It is the same rail the warranty and service paperwork rides, so the record is one place rather than a photo of a clipboard.
Does it track parts stock for a restyling shop?
Partly, and the honest answer is on this page rather than three screens into a trial. Film and material are tracked to the linear foot with real cost, and any part can be a priced line on the estimate and the invoice. What is missing is an on-hand count of discrete boxes and supplier ordering, so a shop running a real warehouse is buying an operation with a gap in it.
Is there an AI front desk for a car audio shop?
Yes. It answers the calls nobody reached, texts back the ones that ring out from your own number in seconds, and books from your real calendar rather than promising a callback. It answers from your actual services and prices, and quiet hours and opt-outs are enforced in code, so nothing goes out at eleven at night.
We also do tint and wraps. Is that the same system?
Yes, it is one product. Film and vinyl are bought by the roll and cut by the linear foot, and the same estimate can carry a tint package, a wrap and an audio build, each costed from what it actually consumes. Most restyling shops sell more than one of these, which is why there is no separate subscription for each.
Who should not buy Service VIN for car audio?
A shop whose business is mostly selling boxes over a counter is running retail, and a point of sale with real stock control will serve it better. A one-person mobile installer who only needs to send an invoice will pay less elsewhere. And a general repair shop needs parts ordering and labour times, which we do not do.
Does it handle GST/HST and CASL?
Tax: your shop sets one rate and every line on an invoice is taxable or exempt against it, so GST at 5 percent or HST at 13 or 15 is a setting rather than a workaround, and the sales-tax report gives your bookkeeper the taxable base, the exempt base and the tax actually charged on an accrual or a cash basis. What it does not do is split one invoice across two provincial rates, because there is a single shop-wide rate and no per-line rate in the data; if you bill at two rates, check that first. CASL is not a switch somebody flips but a set of rails: service and appointment messages are treated separately from marketing, marketing is counted against a per-customer limit, quiet hours and opt-outs are enforced in code, and an opt-out applies across the whole shop. The SMS policy page sets out the rules the product follows, and nothing here is legal advice.

For Canadian shops
Plans are billed in US dollars, and the rest of the block is the part a Canadian car audio shop actually asks about. Tax is one rate for the whole shop, set once, so a 5 percent GST shop and a 13 percent HST shop each bill their own number and each line is taxable or exempt on its own. The sales-tax report then gives a bookkeeper the taxable base, the exempt base and the tax actually charged, on an accrual or a cash basis, and the same figures reach QuickBooks Online and Xero.
One rate is one rate. If you bill at two different provincial rates from the same shop, there is no per-province or per-line split here and that is a real reason to check before you move.
On the texting side, Canadian carriers require no 10DLC registration, so a Canadian shop sends from its own number as soon as the line is live rather than waiting on a US carrier review. Service and appointment messages are counted separately from marketing, marketing is held to a per-customer limit, quiet hours are enforced in code rather than in a setting somebody can forget, and an opt-out applies across the whole shop rather than to one thread.
The longer version, including what the invoice looks like and what the rails do about consent, is on shop software for Canadian shops, and the rules themselves are on the SMS opt-in policy page.
