The short answer
What is the best software for a mobile detailing business?
Mobile detailing software runs the whole day from a phone — the route, the quote, the photos and the payment — and knows what each job cost. Service VIN does that. It is not the cheapest option for a solo detailer who only needs invoices, and it does not sell you leads or run your ads.
- The day lives on the phone: the stop list, the drive, the guided before-and-after photos and the payment, without going back to a laptop.
- Quotes carry real material cost, so a ceramic package and a maintenance wash are different margins for the right reason rather than the same guessed percentage.
- A branded storefront takes bookings and deposits around the clock, and each booking arrives as a customer, a vehicle and a job on the route.
- Payment happens in the driveway on a link the customer opens on their own phone, with the deposit already credited to the bill.
- Flat pricing per business — Essentials $79, Growth $199, Operations $299 and Command $399 in US dollars, no per-seat charge — with a 14-day free trial with every feature unlocked.
Bottom line: A mobile operation is judged on the drive between stops and the money collected at the last one. Software that ignores either is a calendar you carry around.
If you run a general repair, tire or lube shop, the part of this that fits you is the front desk and the marketing layer beside the system you already have: see what Service VIN does for a repair shop.

The day runs from your phone
Everything the job needs, in the driveway
A mobile day isn't a desk job, so the software isn't either. The installer app carries the schedule, the customer and the checklist, the dispatcher hands each van a real route, and the before/after photos are captured on the same phone that runs the job.
- The whole day in your pocket
- An installer app that installs straight to your crew's home screen — iOS, Android or desktop — puts the day's schedule, the customer, the job checklist and the clock on their phone, so your van in a client's driveway runs on the same system a fixed studio does on the shop floor.
- A route that isn't a guess
- The dispatcher assigns jobs to eligible workers, moves them on a live board, and hands your crew a distance-optimized run of the day with a one-tap maps link — so the van spends the day detailing, not doubling back across town.
- Guided before/after photos
- Before, after, defects and a VIN shot are each a big tile that opens the camera, and the VIN photo reads the plate to update the customer's vehicle — proof of the work captured on the same phone that runs the job.

Booked while you drive
Fill the calendar without stopping the van
The bookings and the leads don't wait for you to get back to a desk. A 24/7 booking storefront takes deposits around the clock, every message lands in one shared inbox, and an AI team answers the new lead the moment it arrives.
- Booked 24/7, deposit already down
- A branded storefront takes appointments and deposits around the clock, so the 11pm shopper reserves a slot instead of texting the shop across town — and shows up, because the deposit is already paid.
- One inbox for every lead
- Calls, texts, web-form inquiries and booking requests land in a single shared inbox tied to the customer record, with the full history attached — so a message never gets buried in a group chat or a second phone.
- An AI team that answers first
- Lead-responder and missed-call agents reply the moment a lead lands while you're gloved-up under a car, and quote-follow-up and install-reminder agents chase the ones that went quiet — draft-first, with quiet hours enforced in code.

Paid before you pull away
Quote, invoice and get paid on the spot
The job ends in the driveway, and so should the paperwork. Build a live-margin quote costed from your real material cost, take the balance on card against the deposit you already collected, and file every photo and warranty to the vehicle's VIN — on the same record your office is looking at.
- Quote with the margin built in
- Build the quote from your service menu and add-ons; each line is costed from your real material cost, so the profit margin updates live as you drop in a ceramic package or a two-stage correction. You know the job pays before you send it.
- Paid in the driveway
- Turn a finished job into an invoice and take the balance on card through Stripe or Square — often against a deposit you already collected at booking — so you pull away paid instead of chasing the money later.
- Everything filed to the VIN
- Scan the VIN to build the vehicle's garage, then keep its service history, coating warranties and before/after photos against it. Every job, photo and payment is saved to the same record your office sees.

Built for the way a mobile shop actually works
We're all installers before we're business owners — most of a mobile day goes to the detail, not the back office. These are the four things a mobile crew needs that a plain customer list can't do.
Built for crews on the road
The schedule, the customer, the checklist and the clock live on the phone, and dispatch hands each van a real route — the mobile day is first-class here, not a desktop tool squinted at from a driveway.
An AI team, not one AI button
A calling copilot plus lead-response, quote-follow-up, missed-call and review agents — draft-first, with opt-outs and quiet hours enforced in code. The follow-up that used to wait for a spare minute now happens on time.
One system, not five apps
Booking, CRM, quoting, invoicing, photos and the crew's pay clock run in one place instead of a booking app, a spreadsheet, a payment terminal and a group chat that never quite agree with each other.
Flat pricing, no per-seat charge
Add detailers and a mobile crew without watching the bill climb — one flat plan for the whole business. See the tiers on the pricing page.
Put every van on one board
Start free and add the whole crew. Each van gets the day's stops on its own phone, and the plan price does not move when you hire.

Where to start
It starts with the call you missed.
Every missed call answered in seconds. The quote you promised, drafted before you hang up. Booked straight into your calendar.
It answers from your real services, your real prices and your real calendar — and writes the booking into them. No migration, no data to move — it runs beside whatever you use today.
A customer reading a text in her parked car, a shop owner at her laptop and at the shop's glass door, and the call, text-thread, quote, calendar and review panels drawn over the pictures.
Mobile detailing software, answered
What is the best mobile detailing software for a van crew?
The one that survives a day with no laptop. A mobile operation is a route, a set of jobs done in driveways and a payment collected at each one, and the software has to hold all three on a phone. Service VIN dispatches the route, carries the job and the guided photos in the technician's hand, and takes payment on a link the customer opens themselves. QuoteIQ and Mobile Tech RX both start cheaper; the tables above say what that buys and what it does not.
What does mobile detailing scheduling software need that a shop calendar does not?
Drive time and a van. A stop is not just a time slot — it has an address, a duration and a journey to it, and two jobs forty minutes apart are a different day from two jobs next door. Service VIN schedules each van's day as an ordered route, so the gap between stops is something you can see and shrink rather than something you find out about at four o'clock.
Is there a CRM for mobile detailers that keeps vehicle history?
Yes, and it matters more on the road than in a shop, because you are not standing in front of a service board. Every customer keeps their vehicles, every vehicle keeps its past jobs, the coating that went on, the warranty and the before-and-after photos. When a repeat customer books again, whoever is driving can see what was done last time before they knock on the door.
What should mobile detailing invoicing software do in a driveway?
Get paid before you leave. The invoice is built from the job that was actually done, with the deposit already credited and the real material cost on the line so the ticket reports true COGS. The customer pays on a link they open on their own phone — no card reader to carry, no cheque to chase, and the payment lands on the record rather than in somebody's pocket until Friday.
Is there a cheap CRM for mobile detailers?
There are cheaper ones and two of them are in the tables above — QuoteIQ from $29.99 a month for a single seat, Mobile Tech RX from $30 a month. What Service VIN is cheap at is crew: Essentials $79, Growth $199, Operations $299 and Command $399 in US dollars flat with no per-seat charge, so a second and third van do not move the bill. The smallest commitment here is the Operations plan at $299 a month.
Can I get a mobile detailing quote builder that works on a phone?
Yes. The builder is the same one the desk uses, sized for a phone: package tiers, à la carte work, add-ons like pet hair or an engine bay, per-line discounts and an order discount, each priced from real material cost. You can build it standing beside the car, send it for a one-tap approval, take the deposit and have the job on the route before you drive away.
Is there an AI booking agent for a mobile detailing business?
Yes — the AI Front Desk answers the calls you cannot take with your hands in a bucket, texts back the ones that ring out, and books from your real calendar. It answers from your actual services and prices rather than a script, and writes the booking into the system of record instead of promising a callback. Quiet hours and opt-outs are enforced in code.
Does it handle before-and-after photos properly?
Yes, and the guided capture is the part that matters — the app asks for the shots in a fixed order so a job is documented the same way every time, whoever did it. The photos file against the vehicle, ride on the customer's job tracker, and are there months later when somebody asks whether that scratch was already on the door.
Can I import my customers from another tool?
Yes. There are native import presets for Urable, Tint Wiz and OrbisX, plus QuickBooks Online, Zoho Books and any CSV — customers, vehicles, invoice history, job history and open leads. Mobile Tech RX and QuoteIQ are not native presets, so those come across as a CSV export. Imported records are held apart from the live messaging rails, so a back catalogue cannot text somebody unexpectedly. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial with every feature unlocked.
How much does mobile detailing software cost?
Service VIN is flat monthly pricing with no per-seat charge — Essentials $79, Growth $199, Operations $299 and Command $399 in US dollars, two months free on annual billing, and unlimited team logins from Growth up. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial with every feature unlocked. What the alternatives publish is in the tables above, each figure with its source and its date.
Who should not buy Service VIN for mobile detailing?
A solo detailer whose entire need is an invoice and a calendar will pay less elsewhere, and the tables above name two of those tools by price. A business that wants leads bought and ads run for it is describing an agency rather than software. And if you work alone and always will, the parts of this built for a crew — dispatch, roles, an inbox several people share — are weight you will not use.
Does it handle GST/HST and CASL?
Tax: your shop sets one rate and every line on an invoice is taxable or exempt against it, so GST at 5 percent or HST at 13 or 15 is a setting rather than a workaround, and the sales-tax report gives your bookkeeper the taxable base, the exempt base and the tax actually charged on an accrual or a cash basis. What it does not do is split one invoice across two provincial rates, because there is a single shop-wide rate and no per-line rate in the data; if you bill at two rates, check that first. CASL is not a switch somebody flips but a set of rails: service and appointment messages are treated separately from marketing, marketing is counted against a per-customer limit, quiet hours and opt-outs are enforced in code, and an opt-out applies across the whole shop. The SMS policy page sets out the rules the product follows, and nothing here is legal advice.

Google Ads, graded by your invoices
Know what your mobile detailing ads actually made you.
Google counts clicks and form fills. Your bank account counts booked routes. Service VIN connects your ad spend to your invoices — every campaign graded in booked jobs and paid revenue, with each paid invoice sent back to Google as that click's real value. And the account audit needs no add-on: connect read-only, get about two years of history imported, and see what's leaking before you change a thing.

For Canadian shops
Plans are billed in US dollars, and the rest of the block is the part a Canadian mobile detailing crew actually asks about. Tax is one rate for the whole shop, set once, so a 5 percent GST shop and a 13 percent HST shop each bill their own number and each line is taxable or exempt on its own. The sales-tax report then gives a bookkeeper the taxable base, the exempt base and the tax actually charged, on an accrual or a cash basis, and the same figures reach QuickBooks Online and Xero.
One rate is one rate. If you bill at two different provincial rates from the same shop, there is no per-province or per-line split here and that is a real reason to check before you move.
On the texting side, Canadian carriers require no 10DLC registration, so a Canadian shop sends from its own number as soon as the line is live rather than waiting on a US carrier review. Service and appointment messages are counted separately from marketing, marketing is held to a per-customer limit, quiet hours are enforced in code rather than in a setting somebody can forget, and an opt-out applies across the whole shop rather than to one thread.
The longer version, including what the invoice looks like and what the rails do about consent, is on shop software for Canadian shops, and the rules themselves are on the SMS opt-in policy page.
