PPF cost calculator

Nobody can quote your car from a web page, and this does not try to. Pick the coverage you want and it shows the range six named installers publish for it, with the date each one was read. What the finish and the vehicle do to a quote is described in the words the sources used, because none of them published a figure for it.

The short answer

How much will PPF cost for my car?

Across six installers publishing prices in 2026, a partial front runs roughly $600 to $2,000, a full front roughly $1,500 to $3,500, a track pack roughly $2,500 to $4,000 and a full body roughly $4,000 to $10,000 or more. Coverage moves the number far more than the car does.

Your car

Full hood, both front fenders, the whole bumper and the mirror caps. Headlights are in some packages and not others.

What installers publish

$1,500 – $3,500Full front, published installer range

The span of what six named shops publish, checked September 11, 20261,2,3,4. Not an average, and not a quote.

Coverage
The most-quoted package there is. Four of the six sources publish a figure for it, and headlights are the commonest difference between two quotes.
Gloss
The baseline. Every published range above assumes gloss film, so the figures need no adjustment.
Sedan
Mid-band. Ordinary panel area and ordinary complexity, and the class most of these price guides are implicitly written around. The only per-vehicle figure any source published: a Tesla Model 3 partial front quoted at $1,800–$2,800. Useful as an anchor, useless as a rule.

This is an estimate, not a quote. Every figure is a range other shops publish, read on September 11, 2026 — not a Service VIN price and not an offer. Get a written quote for your own vehicle, with the panel list on it.

Reading the number

Why two quotes for the same words differ

The package names are not a standard. One shop's “partial front” includes the fenders and the mirrors; another's is the hood edge and the bumper. That single fact explains most of the width of every band on this page, which is why the first question to an installer is never the price. It is which panels are in this quote.

If the quote in front of you says clear bra rather than PPF, it is the same product: clear bra and paint protection film are two names for one film. For the long version of this table, broken out by finish and vehicle class with every source quoted in full, read how much does ppf cost.

FAQ

PPF cost, answered

How accurate is a PPF cost calculator?

This one is exactly as accurate as the sources behind it, which is why they are all listed with the date they were read. It reports what six named installers publish for a coverage level. It does not know your car, your market or the film a particular shop stocks, and it never invents a number — where nobody published a figure, it says so.

Why is the range so wide?

Because the package names are not a standard. One shop's partial front includes the fenders and the mirrors; another's is the hood edge and the bumper. Add film tier, vehicle size, panel complexity and how much prep the paint needs, and two honest quotes for the same three words can differ by a thousand dollars.

Does matte PPF cost more?

Two sources put matte and satin film at roughly 10 to 25 percent above the same brand's gloss. The material costs more, and a surface that does not reflect light away shows every install flaw, so the work is slower as well as dearer. No source published a dollar figure for matte, so this page does not derive one.

Does the type of car change the price?

It moves the quote inside the published band rather than setting it. Large SUVs and trucks are more square feet; exotics and deeply creased panels are slower to wrap. No source we could read published a price by vehicle class, so this tool changes the wording for your vehicle and never the numbers.

Is this a quote from Service VIN?

No. Service VIN is shop software, not an installer, and nothing here is an offer or a Service VIN price. The figures are ranges other shops publish. Take the coverage level you want to a local installer, ask which panels are in it, and get the quote in writing.

What should I ask an installer?

Which panels are in the quote, because the package name is not a specification. Which film and which tier, by product name. What the film maker's warranty covers and what the shop's own workmanship warranty covers. What prep is included if the paint needs correction first. Then look at the edges on a car they have finished.

If you install film

Every range on this page is somebody else's margin

The spread between $1,500 and $3,500 for a full front is not shops being cagey. It is film feet, bay hours and waste, and the shops that stay profitable know all three before they quote. PPF shop software costs a quote from the real film on your rack, so the margin is a fact rather than a hope.
